TEMPERATURE-BASED ESTIMATION OF GEARBOX DISSIPATION

The MIT class of 2.671, Measurement and Instrumentation, is a junior year capstone class where students pick a project and make meaningful measurements, which they then present in a poster session. I chose to evaluate the no-load dissipation of the V1 planetary gearbox I designed for MIT Motorsports, assessed via a calibrated thermal network model.
